Visual Distance

Date:
May 3 2011 (All day) - May 14 2011 (All day)

"Visual Distance" is an exhibition which explores the sensations and the effects of wireless communication technologies on inter-personal relationships. The works in the exhibition address issues related to virtual and physical reality, disembodiment and tele-presence through the lens of a variety of research practices, such as film, visual arts and anthropological studies. The exhibition is an expansion of a research project conducted by faculty and students from the Radio Television and Film, Anthropology and Studio Art Department of the University of North Texas and the IREGE program at the University of Savoie in Annecy-France.
