Now in its tenth year, UNT on the Square (UNTSQ) is an exhibition, gathering and performance space where UNT and the Denton area community engage through a year-round calendar of gallery exhibitions, concerts, public receptions and civic events that showcase the talents and interests of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and community.  Our public events are normally free of charge and open to the public. UNTSQ operates under the auspices of the UNT Student Union

Herbert Holl   the director of UNTSQ since its opening in 2009, Herbert Holl brings 30 years of non-profit and academic experience to this position.  Prior to joining the UNT team, he served as Coordinator for the Arts at Texas Woman’s University and prior to that, the Executive Director of the Greater Denton Arts Council.  He holds a PhD and Masters degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor degree from George Peabody College (now part of Vanderbilt University).
